Week 25

his week I have a very relaxed set of tracks to play. I got an excellent album recently, Disco Not Disco, which is a collection of very subtle remixes of great rock tracks. They are all really good, and ill be playing three of the best this week, Paul Simons - Diamonds Dub (Tangoterje edit), America - Horse with no name (Leo Zero edit) and Chic - I want your love (also a Leo Zero Edit). I also have a fantastic deep techno track, oh superman, by booka shade. If all music was this lovely the world would be a nice place. Filling in the gaps will be another new Field song, some great techno by egbert and heron and some recent Radio Slave tracks. Enjoy!

De Lacy - Hideaway (Deep Dish)
Kid Cudi - Hyerrr
America - Horse with no name (Leo Zero Edit)

Week 24

This is probably the best collection of songs I've played so far, I'm in love with each track. Of all the shows I've done I think this collection best gets across the aesthetic I aspire to for the show. I have two tracks from the Fields brilliant new album, Several relatively new tracks from Oliver $, who is the best new (new to me anyway) producer I've come across this year. I think I described his music as Jacking House earlier in the year, Jacking Dub Techno is probably a better description, I tried to find what he described it but unfortunately wasn't able to. I met him in Berlin earlier in the year but unfortunately was too drunk to do anything but shake his hand, rather vigorously.

Ill be starting with an excellent, subtle reworking of Paul Simon's - Late (by Dj Spin), and also playing some tracks from a collection from one of my favorite labels. The Collection is Focus on Rekids, compiled and mixed by Tobias Thomas. Enjoy!

Paul Simon - Late (Dj spun edit)
Echologist - Honeyslide
baeka - right at it
spencer parker - yogoto
the field - I have the moon, you have the internet
the field - the more that I do
mathew jonson - symphony for the apocalypse
oliver $ - watching you (bassjunkie remix)
Christain Smith - Elixir (Gary Beck remix)
Westbam - Old School Baby
oliver $ - hotflash vol3
Filthy Dukes - Tupac Robot Club Rock (Oliver $ remix)
Beyonce - Broken Hearted Girl (Alan Braxe Dub Remix)
The Prodigy - Climbatize

Week 23

I'm going away for the weekend to party, so to get everyone in the mood I'm planning on playing plenty of driving techno to get everyone in the right mood. I have some absolutely brilliant new techno tracks, Volte & Salvatore - Tiramisu, Ben Klock - Goodly Sin (Rob Hood remix), Hollen - Beat Active (Piatto remix) & Cirez D - On Off are all excellent. I'll throw in a few classics for good measure, Juergens - Love it & Audion - mouth to mouth, and some tracks from the Fields new album. The album (Yesterday & Today) is really good, better than I expected. I'm not sure what to make of Vitalics album yet, it definitely lacks the immediacy of any of his earlier work. None of the tracks really impressed me, bar Sea the Sea which I already played a few weeks ago. I'll leave you with Florence and the Machines gorgeous remix of You've got the love. Enjoy!

HJ Radio 22

John Casey joined me this week, JC has a weekly show on Near FM, every Tuesday at 10pm. You can listen to his show at this link http://www.near.ie/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=21&Itemid=50, & check out his blog at http://johncaseyblog.blogspot.com/

We wanted a theme for the show, and JC came upon the idea of collaboration or symbiotic relationships in music, be it between fellow artists or artist and producer. He has selected a music in a wide variety of styles, Jazz, Electronica & Classical. I have gone for collaborations between artists from east and west.

There were some slight technical hiccups, I cut off The protecting veil early, so I played it again at the end. Apologies, and thanks again to John

2) Chi Wai Ping - Yue erwan zhaojiuzhou
